Food has always been a big part of the Delliturri family, especially given that Steve’s father was a farmer and grew olives, artichokes, and other delicacies. When his father was tragically killed in an accident, his sister took him into her home in Brooklyn (their Mother died when Steve was very young).
In his teens, Steve worked in pizzerias around New York, learned the trade well, and saved his money. In 1985 he opened his first restaurant and for 19 years honed his kitchen and business skills, bringing the great flavor of Italy to customers throughout central New Jersey.
Steve opened Tuscany Grill in 2004, updating an existing building and creating a diverse menu and a comfortable atmosphere. The consummate professional, Steve constantly experiments with recipes and has developed relationships with many local sources and distributors, to maintain the high quality of his ingredients.
